AREN’T CUSTOM PORTRAITS EXPENSIVE?
They don’t have to be. A typical 12×16 of one person or animal starts at only $125.00. Prices increase with size and subject matter but are determined individually so contact me and we can discuss something that’s right for you.
HOW LONG IS THE PROCESS?
The length of the process depends first on the difficulty of the subject matter, then the size of the final piece. However, typically a painting can be completed and ready to be shipped in 2-3 weeks. If you need something sooner, contact me and we can discuss what options are available so you can still receive a quality custom portrait or painting in a timeframe that works for you.
DO WE HAVE TO MEET IN PERSON?
Not at all! If you are not in my location where we can meet, I can complete everything through phone, internet, and email. Isn’t technology amazing!
WHAT DO YOU NEED FROM ME TO START?
First, we’ll have an initial interview (either in person, by phone, or via video chat) to discuss the details of the finished piece. Among other things we’ll cover what you’d like me to paint, the size of the final piece, and what it means to you. All I need from you are some good quality pictures of the subject you want me to paint. In our meeting we’ll discuss what kinds of photos work best; view/perspectives, size, quality, etc. And of course, the more the better! Sometimes I might have to take sections of different photos to create the painting and better understand the subject so the final products “feels” like the subject.

Carol Reiman painted my portrait recently from a picture I gave her. I was so heartfelt how she captured my essence.
Every morning when I get up and look at it, I know this is how I want to be remembered. The photo I gave her was of poor quality and through her professionalism she was still able to paint my expression and mood.
She also previously painted my two rescued animals. Her paintings portrayed their spirits and personalities that I love so much.
These will be with me long after they’re gone.
