I have worked for many years as a therapist for a non-profit, volunteered for CASA, for Victim Witness, and for Hospice, and have seen the challenges facing these populations. Therefore, it is my honor to donate 10% of all commissioned portraits to one of these organizations in your area.

My love of animals has inspired me to donate 10% of all commissioned animal portraits to your local shelter in hopes of helping those animals find loving homes such as yours.

Easing a Pandemic

Since the pandemic, we have all been spending a lot more time inside than we probably want to, sometimes resulting in feelings of loneliness and boredom. Having been a volunteer for Hospice, it came to me that this isolation we are all enduring is what hospice patients and many who live in assisted living facilities experience every day.

I was thinking about how I might give back to my community through my art, and my thoughts went to those who, even after the pandemic crisis is over, will still be isolated with little social interaction.

So, I decided to donate some small 4 x 6 original paintings to these facilities so that each resident can have one, as I know first-hand how they long for novel experiences. They can share them with others or trade, you know, like baseball cards! I am currently sending these mini paintings to facilities, and when the pandemic restrictions have eased up, I want to take more of them to other facilities along with a personal “hello” to each resident.

So, each evening I sit on my sofa, create a few paintings, and think of how they might bring joy to someone’s day.

My definition of happy!

Above are some of the quick little paintings I make each night to try to help brighten someone else’s day.
